Revain says this is a valid replacement part for a 2005 Chevy Suburban tailgate. The descriptions are conflicting, with some only speaking of 2006 and some referring to 2005 and 2006. These brackets have been in my car for a year now. You were too strong all along. I'm used to it and I'm careful, but it's very dangerous for my children and my wife. Slowly opens and then knocks you out. I prefer softer openings like the structures I installed in my wife's Suburban 03. Now I'm looking for new shelves.
