Not quite as absorbent as expected or desired but dries hair faster than a regular towel. I have very thick, curly, VERY long hair. It was the first towel that seemed big enough to cover all of my hair. I wish they had bigger ones but that's enough. My hair goes almost to my butt and when I use this towel I only have to fold the last inch or two into the towel before I curl it and then I can tuck the end in the back to keep everything looking perfect. Before this towel I had to use a bath towel because of my long hair. The bath towels are heavy and I felt my neck hurt. This towel is so light I can literally wear it all day if I want (laughs).
