Outstanding picture and sound
I have a great picture and sound. I have an LG OLED 4k TV and an LG Sync9 soundbar. I use two of these cables, one for the TV and one for the soundbar, in addition to the optical connection. All I can say is that the picture and sound quality is excellent, so it looks like the cable does the job. I can't say if it works at 8K.
