That's why I use these 3 gallon cat litter bags. In the past I have bought the TrashRac brand but thought I would give it a try because of the really good price. Well, I may have just received a subpar batch, but you get what you pay for. Bedding, I twisted it a little and started tying it at the top, and one of the bottom corners came undone. Thank goodness I was in the garage when I did this because dirty cat poop in the house would be bad news. I will say that I don't think I put undue pressure on this seal by twisting it too hard. I was later given another pouch to scoop up the pen again (I do this 2 times a day) but before I dropped the pen I checked the bottom seal and it opened with little to no pressure. 2 of 2 bags broke and I won't try the rest. Will go back instead. Again, I'm open to the idea that maybe it was just a bad batch, but I don't want to test it for the purpose I'm using it for.
