The new remote works great. We had an issue with an old remote control receiver that caused it to stop working. Since our fan can only be controlled via a remote control, I had to replace it or the fan. It worked perfectly and reproduces all the characteristics of the original parts. It even came with a small bracket so I could hang the remote on the wall and use it as a light switch. The only issue I had was that this replacement is slightly larger than the original hardware and I struggled to fit in the mount. Once I figured out the correct geometry, all the connections were easy to make and it worked the first time I pushed the button. A much cheaper solution than replacing the entire fan!
