The magnet is really strong. I can hold the phone by the ring and shake it and it won't fall. (I have a MagSafe case, thicker cases can weaken the magnet. After 2 weeks: still works great but the ring it came with started to be tight, opens, closes and stays. But after 2 weeks of wearing the ring opens and closes and doesn't have the same resistance as before.But I would highly recommend this as you can take the ring off and get another pop socket or whatever you want magnetically.
