Review on 🐠 Aqueon QuietFlow 10 E Internal Fish Tank Power Filter - Small Size, Suitable for 10 Gallon Fish Tanks by Nicole Stone

I have a 55 gallon tank that holds 10 gallons of water and it filters all the water well, mostly clear, but recently I've had to customize it and took out most of the internals and built my own activated charcoal filter because the supplied filter gets dirty over the course of the day and no replacement is supplied so buying replacement filters for this would be too expensive. I had it filled with about 1/4 water in a 10 gallon tank and it stayed crystal clear but again within a few days the filter became dirty and had to be replaced. There are only 4 tadpoles in the aquarium. That would be fine in a small aquarium, but I don't think the cost of buying replacement filters every 2 weeks justifies the purchase. I'll probably be upgrading to something better soon. UPDATE: About a week after this review, I decided to tweak my 10 gallon Aqueon filter a bit. I used the micron sponge that came with the kit and placed it evenly over the filter motor and discarded the included filter cartridge as a replacement was out of the question and I will be buying reusable cartridge bags soon. The Remedy I've made my water crystal clear with weekly purification by purchasing an Ammo-Carb API and filling a 1/2 cup Aqueon filter as directed. Now that I have the filter set up, I like it so much. It keeps the water clean and has enough flow to keep my water moving. I wash the filter every 1-2 weeks because of the waste it sucks up which makes the water flow a little less. Flushing fixes the problem immediately. I replace the Ammo-Carb API every three weeks as directed. I started to really like this filter because of the large surface area inside the canister. It's easy to set up and so far I don't see a need to buy a new filter soon after adding the Ammo Carb API. For now, you're ready to customize the filter to suit your needs. For the price, you can't beat it and I'm happy to give it 5 stars.
