Now with the wrong thread size

I bought two of this model in 2011 and was so impressed that when I needed a different SSD tray I looked at the model number and bought it again. However, they changed the thread size of the screw holes on the sides so this tray is no longer ideal for my use. While the screw holes on the sides of my older Vantec HDA-250M trays are threaded for hard drives with standard "6-32" size screws, the screw holes on the sides of this newer version are threaded for "M3"/size CD-ROM (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_case_screws). In my particular full-size Lian-Li tower, the discs are mounted on a rail system with rubber discs attached to the sides with long 6-32 screws. The bolts that come in my case for this purpose are about twice the length of regular 6-32 bolts and only half of the bolt is threaded so you can fully tighten it without crushing the rubber washer. Standard size M3 screws were not used. -go, but I rummaged through my pile of computer screws and found four oddly sized M3 screws that would at least allow this compartment to be used with my case's rail system. I'm not sure why Vantec chose this thread size. for the hard drive slot. Maybe this thread size will become standard and I just didn't realize it.
