I've been itching to try 9 inch needles for a long time and after extensive research I decided on these. I got it right this time. This is what I've used so far with no problems, but VeryPinkKnits' review actually changed my mind, and it's easier on stainless steel than bamboo. Now for the juicy details: the quality is excellent, the main connection is consistent, the size is conveniently engraved on the needle, the cable is solid, with a kind of crosshatch pattern throughout, which I thought was cool for a minute and then completely forgot it did no effect on knitting. and just played with it, trying to knit and decrease and increase and knit and everything I could think of. Light. If you know how to use circular knitting needles, it's almost no different, and it comes from the Knitter Slamel. I know some people like to refer to using 9 inch needles as "knitting with toothpicks," but I don't feel that way. (This may be because I ordered #7 so they are thicker). as long as I wanted, and when I checked later it was two or three hours later, so fatigue certainly didn't stop me, although I've dealt with insidious tendons in my arms for many years and maybe I'm just I had to I need to think a bit about how to hold them first and the fact that I'm a tight knitter doesn't help, but basically you have to ditch the idea that you can only hold the needles. yourself, and that you need a choke hold. No and no. It's perfectly fine to hold it on the rope as well. Use your whole hand. Work with your normal tension, these stitches won't go anywhere except where you pick them up. I've noticed that I tend to grab my right pinky a lot and that was a big part of the fatigue, but I've recently started knitting a hat using 16 inch needles and have found that I doing the same thing, so it's just a bad habit that I need to get rid of. I'm the Harpo Marx of knitters, so my method is weird and different from everyone else's. However, that hasn't stopped me from using them. Having never knitted socks in my life, I started by making a cute, simple little drawstring bag out of leftover yarn that needed work. So funny! I didn't use a pattern just knitted something simple, great no pressure project to start with these shorts. a huge staircase due to an accidental hit between the needles. Ah, much better. The cable was a bit stiff, but nothing a stubborn girl couldn't handle. (I found knitting was usually better, but it wasn't always. Be flexible.) I finished the first one in about 24 hours, except the thumb hole was too small (my mistake). , it's fabulous. Faster, easier, the scale is nice and even. I could hardly put it down. I haven't started another one yet, but I already know I won't be returning to DPN for projects like this. I also plan to make boot cuffs which have always failed at DPN for one reason or another. The long story is over, I am very happy with them and would like to get more sizes. Even if you don't knit socks or sweaters, there are many other uses. You won't know for sure until you try, and if you still don't like them, there are people willing to take them off your hands.
