First impression. The box itself (not the Amazon package) has seen better days, the iron itself looked suspiciously used. My gut feeling is that they sent me a returned product. There were residues on the metal part, it wasn't the shiny look of a new iron. It was a disappointment so I'm sending it back but I'll be testing it on the fence for a few more days to see if it's worth buying a replacement. Takes a while to heat up as there is no adjustable setting, doesn't heat up as I'm used to, the short stick is a little awkward to maneuver which was a disappointment as I thought it would be easier on my short bob and while I like the built in curling iron lock, it was difficult to have a relaxed grip when using the straightener method. It's not bad, but it's not surprising either. Edited 7/29/19: After using this a little more, I found that it works better as a curling iron, especially for short hair. Unfortunately not suitable for my purposes, I will have to use two tools again. The company contacted me and I can say that they really care about the products they sell and the satisfaction of their customers has given another star for excellent customer service.
