This umbrella is easy to use and practical. I got the pink one and it is very pretty. I used it a lot on a trip where the sun was unbearably hot, in Florida, August-September. To have shade, where ever I wanted, was awesome. There were also sudden, unexpected, bursts of rain that usually down poured for about a half an hour to an hour, usually once a day, almost every day that I was there. I was very happy to have this umbrella with me then too. When the wind blew hard, this umbrella was not strong enough for that. Thankfully that only happened once during my trip. This umbrella folds up small enough to fit into my shoulder bag. It is big enough to keep well shaded or very dry and compact enough to take anywhere. I love that a push of a button is all that is needed to open up this umbrella. Mine was easy to push together to shut. I will not travel without it ever.
