Cannot be removed from the Dyson case without cutting it apart. The first sign of a problem was the filter housing not locking into place. It was only about 1/8 inch tall but didn't close. The Dyson machine works but with a filter warning. When I removed the housing, the filter remained in the housing. That's when I discovered the filter was stuck in the housing and asked Revane to call me. Tech support got it right away. After coming to an agreement with the manager, she promised to return my money and said that if necessary I could destroy the filter to remove it. She also explained that Dyson is much more important to them than the filter. It took a little surgery to remove the filter without damaging the Dyson, but I pulled it out with metal scissors. Thinking it was a one off issue I carefully installed a second filter and it had the same issue so I cut that off too.
