This is the third lightbar I have. The first one (after a few months of use) started flickering at random intervals which was driving me nuts. Second in the photo. I like it, but need a second one when I'm working in different places around the house and don't want to take the lightbar with me. I made sure to include a photo of the lightbar I just bought in addition to my last purchase so you can see the difference in quality. This one comes with a ruler built into the frame and none of the others I've bought include it. It also differs in that the light is visible through individual "bulbs" (just to explain. You can see it well in the second photo). There are three levels of brightness and each is amazing but there are other things that set this apart from others I've bought. First, it comes with complete instructions that others don't have. I didn't need them, but beginners will definitely appreciate them. Second, it comes with eight color and black and white tracing patterns (photos included above), as well as two clips to hold your papers, a tracing pencil, and a sharpener. The sharpener didn't work, but since I didn't expect to need it, it fit me. It also comes with a supply of clean tracing paper which is a big bonus. I quickly circled the dog's image and it was easy and quick. I've included a photo of the dog with tracing paper over it and no footprints, taken with a lightbar at maximum light, and an image on an illuminated lightbar. I've also included a black and white image of the corn stalk in the lightbar at maximum setting, with no tracing paper over it and with tracing paper over it so you can see how it will look when you swipe it. I've also included a photo of the instructions and the tools that came with it. Finally, the real reason I bought this light mat is because I'm a diamond painting enthusiast. I wanted you to see how clearly you can see a 30x40 Mickey Mouse image on the lightbar at maximum light. I've also included a closeup picture so you can easily see the color codes. It's a great tool with amazing extras and I can't say enough about it. Photography is difficult when trying to take good photos without a backlit picture flash. Of course, I'm not a great photographer, but I've tried to bring you the best photos. In the first and second images, the camera focused on the individual "bulbs" of the light bar, making them appear dark. As can be seen in the rest of the photos, they do not show any traceable images being backlit by the lightbar.
