A very useful tool. I've used it to test the correct functioning of air conditioners, as it's good for both negative degrees (very cold) and positive degrees (I've also used it to test the effectiveness of different roofing materials to, in practice find out which one is better to stay cool at home in summer. Laser pointer helps in the accuracy of the displayed area, which gets bigger the farther it is from the device. Think of the flashlight beam, which gets bigger the farther it is from the flashlight away. The only thing that bothers me about this device is that sometimes there are a few quick dropouts even if you hold it very tightly. This causes the device to take more than one reading per second and since that Thermometer beeps with every reading it beeps rapidly many times per second Unfortunately you can't turn off the horn unless you take it apart and cut the wires, which I won e. no worries. Anyway, this is a good gadget and tool that is very useful and handy.
