Review on โ˜•๐Ÿ”ด Tea Fortรฉ ICON Au Gold Loose Tea Infuser & Onyx Black Tea Tray by Maggie Bortolussi

Beauty requires sacrifice

All in all, this is a fairly functional tea infuser, perfect for a cup. I've been using it for three weeks now and here are my impressions of it. Pros: - looks great in a teacup - looks great on a small tray - well made - all materials are rustproof so nothing will stain or rust - did I mention it looks good? Because it is. Cons: - The silicone plug/lid at the base of the pyramid is very tight. If you have dexterity/grip issues you may not be able to open the strainer. It is difficult to clean. Tea particles get stuck at the top of the pyramid shape and require some fiddling to remove. This is before they even dry. I have found that this problem is exacerbated with teas/decoctions that contain pieces of fruit or flower petals. Neither for nor against: relatively small. In order to brew properly, tea leaves need space to unfold and float, so you can only put a small amount of tea in this pot. It's enough for one cup, so serves the advertised purpose, just be aware that it won't work for more than 16 ounces of tea (if you like it weak).
