You must study each specification carefully to avoid disappointment. Quality press

Item EXACTLY as described. You must study each specification carefully to avoid disappointment. The print is high quality and the case has a metallic finish. The construction is so solid it looks like it was made to replace Formula wheel bearings! I bought it to replace bearings on ATVs and inline skates. See Image-01. Only items marked 1, 2, 3 and 8 will be shipped boxed. Item 1 is a replacement traction head as you can see the other one I have already repaired (item 7). Part 2 is a press head for 7mm and part 8 is a press head for 8mm bearings. The dilemma is that quad wheels have 7mm bearings while inline wheels have 8mm bearings. Item 7 in Image-01 shows how it can be used to pull 8mm roller skate bearings. The manufacturer should have made a replacement idler head for 7mm bearings, but it's not clear why they didn't. The pulling heads are a few microns larger, which prevents them from hitting 7mm diameter bearings. However since it is only a few microns I filed it evenly and reduced the diameter to fit the 7mm quad skate bearings as shown in pic-02! Now let's talk about the functionality of the press. Picture-03 shows that the press function works for 7mm quad bearings. However, it cannot be used to press bearings into inline skates because, as shown in pic-03, the available height between the body and the press axis is simply not enough to accommodate my wheels (110mm wheels shown). That's not a big problem though, as pressing the bearings into the skateboard's wheels isn't a big deal, we could even do it with our bare hands. I only gave 4 stars because 7mm pull bushings were not included. Other than that, this is an excellent quality product.

Pros
  • Ice skates, skateboards, scooters
Cons
  • The list will be long.
