My expectations of athletic equipment are high. Terry can't compete at this level. Although they market to athletes, the performance of their items is inadequate for genuine competition. Although their clothing, shoes, and accessories are aesthetically pleasing, they are not suitable for vigorous physical exercise. Those cycling shorts might be fine for a casual ride, but they'll tear up your quads on the first steep ascent. The footwear, too? They don't provide the structure and support required for racing or even long distance cycling. In addition, it appears that the quality of Terry's extensive product lineup has suffered as a result. It's obvious they're shooting for the widest possible audience, but in doing so they've neglected the finer points that professional athletes want. Terry could be the answer if you're a beginner biker or just want to look good while getting your exercise done. But if you take sports seriously, you should seek elsewhere. When it comes to meeting the rigorous requirements of peak performance, Terry's wares fall short.
