I'm adding these few lines to the top of my previously posted review because I just noticed the fine print that says "Not intended for weight loss." Why are they saying that if people aren't already using it for weight loss? Well, as it turns out, this protein product saved me from the constant hunger pangs. When I take it with my regular meals it fills me up and lets me go an hour or two without feeling hungry. As a result, there's no need to snack between meals and I've lost weight effortlessly. Now back to the original review. I chose this product because it doesn't contain any dairy by-products like whey and casein that most other protein supplements rely on so heavily. I've read enough books like The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Nutrition Study Ever Conducted and The Astounding Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-Term Health to develop a healthy skepticism about animal protein in general, and I have am convinced that milk does not bring any benefit to the body. NOW Pea Protein dissolves well, tastes great, and satisfies my hunger so I don't feel the need to eat junk food or overindulge in good food. Most importantly, it all gives me a little more mental clarity, and what could be more important in a person's life than that! When I first bought pea protein, another company included a smaller scoop with ambiguous instructions for using a heaping scoop. NOW Sports comes with a properly sized measuring spoon that measures one serving every time. I like it.
