Review on MetalTac Airsoft Speed Loader With Capacity Of 100 Bbs by Todd Atherton

Work with it. on my review.

This item, which is cheaply made, flimsy, and mass produced, can still benefit from some backyard tweaking. First up is the adapter, which is ill-fitting, prone to movement - and in my case complete detachment, which resulted in errant BBs' bouncing everywhere. Fix this by using modeling glue to permanently attach this adapter to the body of the speed loader. Once this adapter is secure and acting as one with the loader, your speed loading will increase in efficiency. Second, for the adapter to be able to slide over the the magazine port (mine is a mag for the HFC Mac 11), I sanded down the insides of the adapter, where they come in contact with the magazine. (You might do this first, if necessary, before gluing it to the speed loader, to minimize the intrusion of sanding dust.) This will lessen the chance of the adapter splitting because of excessive spreading of the flanges, when pushed over the magazine port. Finally, when loading, you will notice a "sweet spot", where BBs seem to suddenly load without resistance. Find this sweet spot right off the bat, by holding the speed loader gently rather than firmly, thus allowing you to find the natural angle and the least resistance to loading.Again, this item is cheaply made and inexpensive. But work with it, doing your best to make it work - and it should work for you.

Pros
  • Its lightweight and compact design make it easy to store in a pocket, pouch, or bag, without adding bulk or weight
Cons
  • Can be difficult to load with gloves on
