Epson prices replacement ink at exorbitant levels.
This cartridge is very expensive. Generic ink cartridges will not always work. When you get a low ink warning, the printer will only accept the expensive Epson ink. If you switch cartridges prior to the warning, you can use a generic replacement - otherwise, don't bother.
