I recently read that the 2nd Gen Core i7 L502X can fit 8GB DDR3 modules. I was curious and excited, but my Dell XPS 15 kept saying (via the Dell website) that it only supports a maximum of 8GB (2-4GB modules). I just kept reading people saying it would work. and I'm happy to say that it is. I had 6GB (1 2GB module and 1 4GB module). I replaced the 2GB module with this Corsair 8GB module and everything works great. I have Windows 7 Home Premium and it correctly recognizes 12GB of memory. Installation was easy and everything booted great. The really cool feature (for me) is being able to open really big files and know I have enough memory (like Premier or Photoshop). If you need more memory I would recommend this memory. Even if you don't think the 8GB modules are compatible with XP 15 i7 Core (2nd Gen) processors, they are. Just remember to update your BIOS to the latest version first. Enjoy! works perfectly!
