Works great for computer components

Added 16GB RAM to Lenovo v570-1066A9U which should only accept 8GB RAM. There were no problems and now the system works day and night when launching applications. I ran the MemTest diagnostics for over 12 hours with no errors.

More memory was needed and Corsair provided

Corsair is a great product. I bought a HTPC a few weeks ago and only bought 4GB or RAM. I decided to run Windows 8 on it and then set up a virtual machine with Ubuntu Server. My memory was starting to run out, so I needed more memory. I bought them and left them overnight. This memory was easy to install, the system had no boot issues and seemed to boot about 1 second faster. The real highlight of this RAM was when I booted up my VM. I checked my resource manager and the VM was finally able toโ€ฆ

I've been working on upgrading my AO725 from 4GB to 8GB RAM.

. It was a very easy 1 minute. Update: First remove the battery, unscrew the screw and remove the cover, replace the memory modules, put the cover, screw and battery back, and you can restart the device. I first checked if the memory is recognized by the BIOS (version 2.12, shows 8GB RAM). Then Windows came along (no faster or slower as far as I could tell) and showed 7.7 GB available RAM (instead of 3.7 GB for 4 GB SODIMMs). The updated Windows Experience Index for memory is now 5.1 (from 4.9)

Pros
  • . The best in its niche.
Cons
  • . I will add it later.

Neat and well working upgrade!

Wasn't sure I should try this but after reading other reviews and doing some research I can confirm it works. I installed this on an Acer Aspire AO-725 Acer Aspire ONE 725-0488 - 11.6" - C-60 - Windows netbook which officially has a 4GB RAM limit but the 8GB module does immediately recognized. I'm using Windows 7 Professional x64 (purchased separately, the netbook was bundled with the starter), an SSD was added and now 8 GB of RAM. With the addition of RAM, the device works clearly faster. Really useful netbook (Aspire One) add-on

I bought an Acer Aspire One 722 in 2012 with 4GB of memory and Windows 7. I really liked this system and mainly used it for streaming to my TV via HDMI. Later on I started using it as a netbook with applications like MS Office and doing a lot of email and surfing the web. Things slowed down over time, so I replaced the hard drive with a Samsung SSD (solid state drive) and it perked up a bit. I've decided to upgrade the RAM to 8GB if possible and read that this chip is good for that. It tookโ€ฆ

Works as advertised - great price!

Update shocked! Connected directly to my Acer Aspire One netbook. Lubuntu Linux, Puppy Linux, and Linux Mint bootable USB saw and used the full 8GB. This reduced battery life by about 15%, but given that this is a utility machine, it's not a big deal. I've been using this update for about 3 months now and haven't had any memory issues. I use this netbook every day as my primary personal device. I'm currently using Linux Mint Qiana (17) with Xfce as my main desktop and KDE Plasma 5 as anโ€ฆ

Macbook Pro 16GB RAM - BABY!

Apple's specifications for my 2.7GHz Intel i7 MacBook Pro state that the maximum amount of RAM that can be installed is 8GB. NOT CORRECT! I took a chance and ordered these memory modules and now my reports are 16GB 1333MHz DDR3. Now you only need this update if you run LOTS of apps at the same time, process high-resolution videos and photos, or are a power user. Surfing the web, answering emails and doing word processing will save you money. But if you need more RAM on your MacBook Pro andโ€ฆ

Works great in XPS 15 L502X

I recently read that the 2nd Gen Core i7 L502X can fit 8GB DDR3 modules. I was curious and excited, but my Dell XPS 15 kept saying (via the Dell website) that it only supports a maximum of 8GB (2-4GB modules). I just kept reading people saying it would work. and I'm happy to say that it is. I had 6GB (1 2GB module and 1 4GB module). I replaced the 2GB module with this Corsair 8GB module and everything works great. I have Windows 7 Home Premium and it correctly recognizes 12GB of memoryโ€ฆ

Corsair CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3. for sale Corsair

Corsair CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 for sale by Corsair I really hate buying memory for my computers. It seems no matter how hard you try to order the right thing, it won't fit. So it is with this memory. I needed memory for my LENOVO M91P ThinkCentre and it was advertised. At least that's what I saw in the ads. I bought it because I thought it would fit. LOOK when it arrived the card was physically too small to fit in the memory slot. Luckily I was able to get it back (and note thatโ€ฆ
