Review on πŸ’ͺ High-Performance Memory Kit for Optimal Vengeance by Peris Holland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really useful netbook (Aspire One) add-on

I bought an Acer Aspire One 722 in 2012 with 4GB of memory and Windows 7. I really liked this system and mainly used it for streaming to my TV via HDMI. Later on I started using it as a netbook with applications like MS Office and doing a lot of email and surfing the web. Things slowed down over time, so I replaced the hard drive with a Samsung SSD (solid state drive) and it perked up a bit. I've decided to upgrade the RAM to 8GB if possible and read that this chip is good for that. It took about 2 minutes to remove the old memory and install Corsair and it actually recognized 8GB. I changed the advanced system settings in Win 7 by selecting "Performance" in the "Advanced" tab (which disables almost all graphics options to make the display nicer. I have "Smooth edges of screen fonts " enabled. Then I changed the change the file size to 12GB to reflect the storage growth. In my opinion, 8GB of storage combined with an SSD took this to the next level. This little netbook doesn't feel like a anymore Netbook with an 1GHz Atom processor." for things like web surfing, applications like Office etc. and is quite usable now.
