Even a smart switch needs to turn a light on and off reliably with a physical switch. This switch makes it maybe 50% of the time, maybe less. The small button just isn't responsive enough or easy enough to press. It would be a 5 star product if it had two large switches for the power buttons and small sliders on the sides to control brightness and fan speed (which you rarely need to do). Whatever the case, be prepared to hit the button two or three times and swear under your breath almost every time you want to turn the light on or off. I generously give it 3 stars, but when paired with Modern Forms fans it's still one of the best solutions for giving you complete control over your ceiling fans.
