Review on Golden Rectangle Nylon Repair Patches: Self-Adhesive, Waterproof & Lightweight For Down Jackets, Tents & Sleeping Bags by Angie Strongheart

Cool idea, hope it lasts

Didn't know adhesive type fabric patches existed till I started looking up patches. I have an old bedquilt and while i plan to replace it, I need it to last a few more months, to clear the christmas debts and whatnot.I had a roughly 6inch rip (small dog long story), so I was looking for patches to keep him from getting stuffed on stuffing (Hehe), anyways found these they claim to not need ironing and will set in as little as 30 minutes. They are made of nylon, so thinking the iron is not a good idea anyways. Anyways, for the big rip, I put one backwards on the inside to back the main patch, and one on the top to cover the seem left The amazon ad said to use something heavy to press it, I used a cutting board (flat piece) and a bag of charcoal for the actual weight. The mattress itself was the bottom of the sandwich. looks good let it sit for about 3-4 hours with the weight on it, hope it lasts and the dog can't tear it.BTW, I ordered the two roll pack, smallest and cheapest I could find. When it came today, I thought I got gypped, there was only one roll. After the initial thought I opened the bag and unrolled it to see 2 separate strips stacked and rolled into a bigger roll. Just saying this so you know to check and verify before complaining. When i saw the one roll, even if it worked well, I'd have given it 1 star. but double checked before leaving that review.Right now it seems to work well so far, hope it lasts long enough
