Stylish holder but unforgiving mounting design

My old paper holder used to clamp large rolls, especially when the roll was new. This will prevent the reel from spinning freely on the holder. I bought this paper holder because it prevents this problem and is also more stylish. The holder itself is articulated, which allows it to lean back from the wall. If you don't like the wobbling, you can lock it in any position with the included small Allen key. My main issue with the mount is that it took me 2 attempts to attach it to the wall. The first time I used a spirit level to mark the positions for the mounting bracket screws. After completing the assembly, it turned out that the bracket was not straight, but noticeably inclined to the side - i.e. at an angle. the holder itself was not parallel to the ground. The bracket is attached to the wall. All of the fasteners are rectangular in shape, making the rig fairly sturdy yet unforgiving. After removing the bracket (and attaching the drywall) I noticed that the holes in the bracket didn't quite line up with the bracket itself. (Hope you can see it in the photo.) So placing the bracket's holes flush with the wall will result in an uneven installation. My installation tip from Installation #2: I used a piece of double-sided tape and taped the bracket to the wall in the desired position. I removed the hardware and left the mount taped to the wall. I marked the holes and then finished the installation.
