Don't judge a square by its picture
Other 12 inch combo squares in this price range had mediocre reviews so I bought this one based on reviews elsewhere. This is because there are too many return issues. It's mostly usable, but not very well made. The blade wobbles in an oversized slot in the body and sometimes slips off if not tightened enough. I took it apart and the part that goes through the jam nut and clamps the blade is a cheap cast metal with a rounded lip to fit the groove in the blade. I expect it will fail soon as there is so little metal in the groove. However, it is square and regular and very legible.
