I needed 5 inch screws for some of the work I'm doing renovating an old house. I have used Power-Pro 2 1/2" stainless steel bolts on other projects and have been very happy with their durability and performance. I searched locally for 5" Power-Pro bolts but was only able to find shorter alternatives that worked didn't have a torx or hex screwdriver or larger diameter screws than I needed. They aren't stainless steel, they're coated to resist rust and corrosion. The set includes a T25 torx bit so you don't have to worry about buying it separately, and the 5 pound box contains over 200 screws.Although these screws are quite long they are relatively easy to work with.I used reinforced faux wood screws so I took my time starting with a small pilot hole to help tighten the screws start and guide I've had no problems with I'm not an experienced carpenter so others may have alternative or better ways of working with these screws.
