I installed a recently purchased Fluval 407 canister filter. The tubing clamps are fragile and can break if you are not careful during installation. This happened to me and I had to order another one. Just do not use force when connecting the two parts and make sure that there is no tension on the hose when connecting. The replacement installed with no problems; I've learned my lesson. I would like to use a thicker material for the clips. By the way, this tank clip worked great on a Fluval 407 external filter; it is exactly the same component. Although the clip is expensive.
