I finally bought a raincoat from the store while waiting for this product to reach my house. It's funny to compare them. This coat is thicker. There is a zipper that makes it easier to put on the raincoat. In addition, it has ties at the top so the hood fits your head nice and snugly. Also, there are these buttons/or clips that run down both sides of the coat. When you open it, the rain cover expands, allowing you to use it when you have a lot of clothing underneath. In the summer I usually get to work by scooter or bicycle. Both fit easily under a raincoat. I'll say I'm 5'2' and bought a large one. With my scooter underneath it comes down to mid-calf.
