Great concept. Stay in place. I was concerned about the plastic inserts but they are good. Since I use this at home, I reheat items on the counter and return them hot. The only downside is the depth of the inserts and the top two curling holes are very small and not very functional for the large curling irons used today. I use the bottom one for my 1 1/4 inch iron, but you can't put a 2 inch iron in it. The top hole is a pencil holder I think. The spaces to insert a straightener are huge and due to the corner and not very deep means that if you hit it it will fall out. I understand that if they were lower, everything would have to be higher. A disadvantage, but not a decisive factor. It's the best I've found considering the solid base and extra ports.
