I actually bought another one. I was guessing the size and didn't realize the bars are also smaller than the regular lockable shelf you can get anywhere. The biggest complaint would be that the shelf is upside down compared to how it should be (or usually all other manufacturers) to make it clear that the shelves have an edge up once assembled. I like shelves. I bought another one. They are sturdy enough for use in the kitchen or bathroom. I wouldn't recommend it for garage use or even medium heavy groceries as the shelves are quite brittle in the middle due to the spacers facing the wrong way. You cannot place anything on or off these shelves as the ledge protrudes 1 inch all the way around. All in all, this is a decent product. Would rate higher if they fixed the shelves.
