Broken shower valve
Installed shower system and cement board, was in the process of installing shower tile. Very glad I didn't. The first tests of the shower system after installation were successful. However, after about a two week hiatus from tiling, the newly installed shower faucet began to rattle loudly as we turned the sink on and off in the adjoining bathroom. (By the way: water hammer dampers were installed to reduce water hammer and all the pipes were secured; when the pipes were plugged there was no noise). The cement board and shower system need to be removed.
