Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Supreme Grip Non-Slip Rug Pad Underlay for Hardwood Floors - Thick Cushioning, Prevents Sliding - Size 2 X 8 by Jason Epstein

Does what is expected: no slipping and little cushioning

We have a rug in our living room that keeps slipping on the floor and it was driving me crazy. At one point I was sure the kid would slip and fall on it, but the prices for mats at Target were so high that I didn't want to spend any money. unpleasant, chemical odor, which disappeared after 30 minutes. The pad felt slightly sticky but rolled off easily. It was easy to switch. I was happy to learn that it doesn't have to cover the entire area of the rug and in fact we replaced that 3x5 rug with our 5x7 rug and it's holding it in place quite well. It's quite thin and I wasn't expecting to feel a difference when I stand on it because I couldn't SEE the difference, but when I stepped on it I felt the cushioning. It didn't look like a rug laid over any upholstery - it did look like a more expensive rug, which was a pleasant surprise. The thinness also ensured that crumbs weren't constantly rolling underneath - you can see in the attached photo that with the padding ending about an inch from this rug, there is no noticeable edge lift. The second photo shows how it can be centered to hold the larger rug in place. In general, I was pleasantly surprised. The price is good and it does what it promises - no slipping and little cushioning. I received this rug at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.
