Not bad, but like hell with any laptop heavier than four pounds.

The base is as light as the stand itself. If you have a heavier laptop, you'll have to do what I did and glue a heavy metal plate to the base or drill holes and attach it to your desktop with screws , so it doesn't protrude if you have the laptop heavier than three pounds when sitting on it.
