The quality is good. It's better to keep your liquid beverage hot, but not so hot that it burns the inside of your mouth. I like the temperature gauge. The stainless steel interior is a must for any electric mug. Most mugs sold will not shut off at max temperature and will get hotter and hotter until they burn out. This mug controls the temperature so that doesn't happen. What I didn't like is that the plug is too low on the mug and this becomes an issue when the mug fits in most car cup holders. I fixed this by placing a paper or foam coffee cup in a car mount and cutting a small slit to allow the plug to slide into the bottom of the paper or foam coffee cup. Some holders also cause the switch to turn on when it touches the rim. Even the most chosen ones. The mugs have a ridge on the lid to easily remove or flip the lid, this mug doesn't have that but it's no big deal. The drinking hole in the lid could be better, but that doesn't really bother me. I used favorite. mugs for a long time and this mug is the best. Too bad they made a 16 ounce mug.
