Not at all what I expected. Pros: Keeps the coffee at a good temperature, thermostatically controlled. Cons: Cheaply made. Not even close to worth the price. Ugliness: it cannot be wetted. Literally - the instructions say not to spatter gauges, switches and lights. They are not sealed. If you do get them wet you need to make sure they are completely dry before powering them on. I didn't expect them to be dishwasher safe but I did expect them to be able to handle liquids.

I had no problems with other owners. For the moment (about 2 months of use) it works fine. I like the temperature sensor and the ability to turn it on and off with a switch. I liked it so much that I bought it for my mother for Christmas. It is better to perform well, because no one wants to disappoint their mother. I've had one of these mugs before and love them. I use it all the time and it worked fine for a year. But I ordered two more, one for my boyfriend and one for my husband. My husband was so lucky to have him on our 10 hour trip. He hooked it up at the start of our trip and it was cool right away. The cup was not heated above 120 degrees. I love the look of this product and it works great. I made myself an extra cable to connect to the office. I fill up the coffee, get in the car to drive to work, turn it on at the first stop light and the coffee stays around 140 degrees so I can drive. Very thin and loose lid. The interior of the mug is thin and narrow so there isn't much room inside. The metal inside also feels rough. Heat marks and black fabric are interspersed on the red plastic. Also make sure that the internal wires are visible. The quality is good. It's better to keep your liquid beverage hot, but not so hot that it burns the inside of your mouth. I like the temperature gauge. The stainless steel interior is a must for any electric mug. Most mugs sold will not shut off at max temperature and will get hotter and hotter until they burn out. Terrible product and even worse customer service. the pin holding the face cannot be lifted because it is blocked by the pin).
