Review on Fluid Film 5gal Pail NAS Rust Inhibitor: Ultimate Protection for Trucks, Snow Blowers, Mowers, Cars, Semis, Tractors, and Buses by Tyler Kota

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best chassis rust/corrosion inhibitor I have ever tested.

I've been using this for about 4 years now and I think it's the best on the market. The rubber coating traps moisture and accelerates rust, so avoid this. Several tech reviews have ranked Fluid Film as the best and I agree (have tried 2 similar products). I first bought a budget Fluid Film spray gun and wasn't very happy with it so I bought a Fluid Film Pro gun and really like it - well worth the extra price. It's easiest to spray Fluid Film when it's at least 70 F outside (the warmer the better). Be sure to stir the Fluid Film as this will make it easier to spray. I spray my cars every September. The salted streets of upstate New York are being eaten by cars! By the way, it works great on lawnmower decks. And frees frozen car locks and windows. FYI some parts of the underside of the car are not directly exposed to water/dirt/snow and in these areas the liquid film looks wet and well protected after a year, which means that after the first year or two of spraying the car I need significantly less in subsequent years. Also buy 1/2 inch tin plugs so you can drill holes and spray a film of liquid in all cavities and then use plugs to plug the holes. It's best to buy it in a 5 gallon jug.
