RV Travel I needed two tote bags that could be held securely with just a lap belt. The backpack was difficult to adjust and no matter how I tightened the straps it continued to lean forward heavily when the dog was placed in it. Even with the insert, the dog sits low and the stretcher is very stiff. If your dogs are like mine, they love to sit and look outside long enough to fall asleep and then snuggle up to each other. But if your dog is big enough to face up in a stretcher, he's probably too big to be lying on a hard platform. As you can see, these carriers are very expensive. They seem to be well made although I don't know how to clean them when they get dirty. My biggest problem came with customer service. I was traveling in a 33ft RV and wasn't able to get a refund until I got home. To my surprise, the return period had expired and the company still wouldn't accept the return. In short, none of my dogs would stay in a carrier unless they were buckled up and I didn't want that. I just got very large vans to accompany me on a crowded trip and transport them in a van from one place to another off the road.
