After replacing the rear shock compressor on my 2008 Tahoe a few years ago, I noticed that the compressor kicked on quite often. I researched the problem online and found that the shock absorbers were leaking. It should be noted that the Tahoe has 210,000 miles and I tow heavy trailers very often. Well, after evaluating OEM shocks at the dealership and at Revain, I was looking for over $500 a set. I figured I'd ignore it and just replace the $200 compressor if it failed again. Well, while lazily browsing through Revain, I stumbled across this set with a good overview. I recently had the urge to fix all these little things and I decided to order them. They arrived around noon today so I drove the truck to the shop and installed them. The bonus was that while keeping it I switched wheels. I connected the electrical and air lines and started the engine. The compressor turned on as usual, but worked only 3-5 seconds before turning off and did not need to be turned on again for 30 minutes of its operation. There are no codes or errors on the Neat, ventilation works well. I'm a lucky tourist! Hope the long term durability is good. If not I will update this review. So $300 less than OEM, even here at Revain, it should be worth it. I bought these shock absorbers myself and received no compensation for this review.
