Of course, after chasing the current for a few minutes with a flashlight and a step stool, we saw coolant leaking out of the thermostat housing. Get this detail and get it done with a few curses but no bleeding. We made it. In this case, there are many problems with installing a thermostat. The new gasket and the old thermostat didn't like each other, so the parts store for a new thermostat. Worse, the gasket fit, but the thermostat didn't fit the case.
