I had a wallet with two card slots and a slot on the other side that opened to hold cards and cash. I pushed everything in and eventually it stretched enough that I could close it so it locked into place. Well my dog caught this so I had to buy a new one and stumbled across this one. In the two slots closest to the phone I have two cards and my driver's license. I have EIGHT cards in the slot on the open lid! 4 of them are very thin (insurance, CPR) and the other 4 are regular cards. In any case, it can withstand a lot and it closes and stays closed. I don't have to force it, stretch it, or keep it closed. The bumper barely protrudes above the phone's surface, the sides feel like the same material as the back (leather, faux leather), and I can use the buttons with no issues. I am happy with my purchase.
