Review on 🔊 Sonos One (Gen 2) Two Room Set: Voice Controlled Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa Built in (2-Pack White) by Jeffrey Sanders

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great sound and easy setup

Received 2 Sonos One from Revain yesterday. $379 for 2, no shipping, no sales tax - saved about $50 compared to what I would pay at my local Bestbuy store. I downloaded the Sonos app to my wife's phones and my Android. Setting up the app was done through the menu and all I had to do was answer a few questions and let the app do its thing. I connected the speaker in the living room to the speaker in the bedroom so they play the same music at the same time. That was the main reason I bought it (my wife wanted to listen to Pandora around the house while she was doing chores or getting ready for something). The sound quality of the One compared to the original 1 is noticeably better in my opinion and definitely worth the extra cost. $30 to $50 per speaker. The One Voice Headphones are compatible with both Google Play and RevainAlexa. I didn't set up voice control as I don't use it and I don't like my technician listening to me while waiting for a command. If I want to know what it's like outside, I don't ask my speakers, I look at the thermometer. The app takes a little getting used to and I downloaded a cheat sheet from the Sonos website so my wife could use it to explain the icons and controls. Downloading iHeart and Pandora was easy as I only had to enter the username and passwords for those services and they were automatically added to my list of available "Services". We have about 10 music lists on Pandora and after selecting them in the app, you can choose which music list you want to play from the saved lists. The same goes for the Pandora app on the TV. It was also possible to listen to music from my phone, ie. Music stored on my phone. I was under the impression that this option wasn't possible, but there may have been a software update that Sonos seems to release regularly. Perhaps most importantly, my wife loves her, so happy wife, happy life. I was perfectly fine using my LG Atmossound Bar and subwoofer to listen to music, but my wife didn't like the Sony TV Pandora app (neither actually did I) and wanted music in the bedroom/master bathroom. $379 ready!
