I was debating between this unit and a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor and a half-terabyte solid-state drive. Regrettably, I was unable to locate the first choice, either locally or through shipping options. The OS-less HP was taken. I tried installing the previous version of Windows 10 three times and each time it refused to be recognized. After adding 20N2, most problems disappear. While issues with the connection between the router and bluetooth devices persist. On a few occasions, I had to resort to an emergency shutdown because normal shutting down was not an option. I have no idea what's wrong; I've tried rolling back multiple times and reinstalling ates and drivers, even using the HP Support Assistant app. Several broken pixels and glare on the screen are the only real drawbacks. Few USB ports, poor placement of the memory card slot, jagged edges, and a casing that shows dirt quickly are all design flaws. The tests passed with flying colors, the cooling system works well, and the machine's autonomy is respectable for how powerful it is (I think when working with undemanding programs, you can still fool around and improve autonomy).
