Paslode has had the best cordless nailers since the word cordless became popular. Their quality is excellent. I've been using Paslode nail guns for ten years now. The Drive Nailer has endured some pretty horrendous abuse, from bad weather to falls from incredible heights, and it has continued to perform flawlessly. Paslode multigrade fuel performs very well in single digit temperatures. At average temperature and use, I get over 1000 shots per cartridge. Regular maintenance is important, however, as these nailers will clog from the inside, affecting performance and reliability. Nail strips should also be clean and rust-free. I only use Paslode fasteners. As the tips of the nose become blunt, the trigger tends to slip off, preventing the fuse from releasing. Keep the tips sharp and change the nose tip when it wears out. It's easy to replace and not too expensive in Revain. The rafter/girth hook is great and doesn't get in the way of use like some other brands do. The noise is slightly higher than with pneumatic nailers, but not as unpleasant indoors either. Some say the smell of exhaust fumes is a problem indoors, but there are far worse odors in the workplace than the smoke these nailers produce. After ten years my nailer started failing. I was considering a rebuild, but the parts needed cost over $100, so I decided to replace them rather than rebuild them. I gave the old shotgun to a colleague who rebuilt it himself for about $150 and it works great today. I highly recommend Paslode nailers.
