I've had it for less than a month and can't comment on its durability but it does exactly what I wanted from the start. This relieves the cable at the bottle neck. I had to rotate the end caps 180° so they were sticking away from the top of my blender rather than out of the top. I've read reviews about the possible problem of the innards collapsing when the set screw is removed to help with alignment, but I haven't encountered a problem. This is an ingenious design and looks well built. It seemed a bit pricey when I ordered but I had already forgotten about it and guess it solved my problem. My other choice was to replace all my cord and get one with a right angle, if such a beast even exists. Like I said, I have no history with him. I plan on leaving it plugged into the mixer with the cord plugged in so there are no mechanical issues. Take a chance and order it so you can make your own decision. I don't think you will return it.
