Works as advertised. I use it with an MXL 7000 condenser mic. The mic is in a tablet mic form factor (like the old RCA DX-77) with a yolk mount. So using an XLR cable forced me to tilt the mic in the mount by about 30 degrees or so. Have been using it for over a year with no problems but I bought new hardware which required me to use it for its intended purpose - customize. Once the screws are removed the male end comes out easily because you can grab the bolt handle to gently pull/wiggle it. However, I had to move the pin end, and since the XLR pin ends are recessed, you'll need to use needle nose pliers to pry it out. I've had it for less than a month and can't comment on its durability but it does exactly what I wanted from the start. This relieves the cable at the bottle neck. I had to rotate the end caps 180° so they were sticking away from the top of my blender rather than out of the top.
