I liked the device to the touch, solid to the touch. Changing the twist of the ends was very easy. I used it to mount a fairly heavy Audio-Technica U855QL gooseneck mic to an Allen&Heath QU-24 mixer (the connector is on the back panel and every mic I could find didn't have enough length and/or bend to accommodate making a bend without an adapter at a straight angle) and the connection seems pretty solid. However, the "rather tight" part suggests what I think is a slightly sloppy fit (I know this is a subjective statement, testing the limits of manufacturing tolerances for different manufacturers). A very minor criticism for an otherwise excellent product. I would recommend this for a similar use.
