**Update** One of these bulbs has already burned out less than 1 year after purchase. I finally got into the fashion for LEDs and it's great. Buying them individually or even in packs of 2 at your local hardware store is a lot more expensive than buying those packs. I was concerned about shipping BUT they aren't actually glass - they are plastic so don't need careful packaging. Currently, my lamps and fixtures use mostly CFLs, but I'm switching mine to LEDs. The ceiling light shown has two bulbs. The one on the right is an LED, the one on the left is a regular CFL. The CFL says 1600 lumens and the packaging of this LED says 1500 lumens. It's hard to see in the photo, but the LED shines much brighter for me. The color temperature is actually slightly warmer than CFL, but I don't remember which type it is. If they last almost as long as advertised, they're worth buying for the savings advertised.
