I am a petite woman with small legs. I bought them for myself and wear them outside all the time. As long as they show no signs of wear! They are true to size / true to size! Each strap is adjustable so that it fits individually. **The pair I received was a little bent and out of shape, I didn't remove the star because they were easy to fix. I threw them in hot water and wore them for a day and they were like new.
